Under the Pink Carpet is a gay-themed television entertainment news series. Envision an all-gay version of Entertainment Tonight (with a campy, irreverent twist — of course).

The program focuses on gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered (GLBT) music, theatre, film, television, arts, culture, nightlife, sports, and erotica. Our reports include interviews with high profile celebrities as well as personalities from the realm of underground and cutting edge GLBT society. If we can help it, our reports also feature loads of eye candy.

Shirtless hunks aside, Under the Pink Carpet is more than just gay entertainment news. Our aim is to realistically examine the GLBT subculture, providing a no-holds-barred glimpse behind the facade of a "fabulous" lifestyle. Our philosophy is that gay media should not attempt to mirror or emulate straight culture, but should instead find its own identity. Under the Pink Carpet presents a realistic and un-sanitized picture of queer culture and avoids efforts to mainstream the gay community. We don't just show you the muscle boys or the snappy, fabulous hairdressers to the stars. We give equal time to the tranny rockers, the diesel dykes (and the lipstick lesbians), the big hairy bears, the unconventional porn stars, the fag hags, the macho super jocks, and all of the others who make our culture so very unique and textured.

Under the Pink Carpet's mission is to entertain and educate about the GLBT community and to the give exposure to OUT artists and supportive individuals and establishments. Under the Pink Carpet endeavors to remind the world just how valuable GLBT people are in terms of our contributions to the arts, entertainment, and culture. The program's aim is to enlighten straight viewers while concurrently creating a show that will make gay people feel proud as a community. Under the Pink Carpet fervently avoids being preachy, or lionizing the gay lifestyle. We are not in-your-face or stereotypical. Our goal is to create a series that is funny, entertaining, colorful, and truly reflective of who we are as a culture.
